I find a ton of the amber ones.(mostly '47).Most of them in excellent condition. I think I sell them for 6bucks each or so. Jeez..some people at etsy/tias/rubylane/ebay have them for 20-50 bucks...crazy

But then I don't feel too bad about it because I'm too cheap to have bought it anyway. []

Sixty two dollars for a bottle with a base crack?
I'd say the buyer was on crack.

IMHO a bottle with a base fracture is worth 10 to 15 percent of the value of a nice example, max,...and only then if the buyer really 'needs' it. For a city or state collection for example...or a brand display, perhaps.
That then factors out to this bottle being 'valued' in the $400 to $600 range in high grade. I don't believe it. That value is insane. It ain't that rare...it'd have to be unique, as in this is the only one ever seen to achieve that kind of value.

My .02 on that.
