I need some help on this bottle! It has a ground lip and probably had a zinc or pewter top. The front has a frosted section with "OUR BOYS RYE" and the back is in a quilted pattern. Could someone please help me with any information on this bottle--maker, age, scarcity, value, etc.? Thanks so much!

One sold on Ebay in 2007 for $19, I'm guessing it's a World War I era tribute whiskey to our troops...

Hey Jack,

Don't forget to check that Embed button, if you want your photo to appear on the page. Datewise, it's World War Iish. Are there no embossings on the bottom?

Seems like there is a variant.

Thats an attractive bottle. Considering its worth and tie-ins with a historical event, I personally would just hold onto it. You don't see too many bottles with the frosted or etched glass either... imho

Thank you! I will try and remember to do that. Also, no embossings on the bottom--just smooth glass.
