Found this at a shop yesterday. I liked it because it has two things I haven't seen on tooled crowns from Maine. First the color is a nice Coke bottle green and second, there's an additional slug plate. The extra slug is on the front heel. It's rectangular and is embossed "7 FL Oz. REGISTERED" . The oval slug is embossed "MAPLE SPRING BOTTLING WORKS FOXCROFT, ME."
Also, no damage. The bottle was produced before the two towns of Dover and Foxcroft became one town, now known as Dover-Foxcroft. Dates between 1898-1923. I should do some research and see what I can find out about it.

Check out the green compared to a typical tooled crown.

This shows the extra slug plate. I don't know how many Maine tooled crowns are set up like this but I thought it was unusual. Anybody see this in other tooled crowns from your area?
