This pipe says;(debossed)GLASCOW(inside of band)(on both sides). I'm not sure if there is wording though in the band. If there is it is very very small. On the bowl of the pipe, it has the letters; T. D.(enbossed) on the bowl facing you. The whole pipe is 4"long and 2"tall from the top of bowl to the bottom of the knob. One more I found today too.

I guess 'privy pipes' are from when your wifes comes out the back door and you just throw the pipe down the hole,[], Tom

Glasgow ... as in Scotland. A common mark found on kaolin clay pipes.
I found one with the same TD in a civil war hut site.

I found several like that. One had Glascow on it and the other had GERMAN then the rest of the stem was broke off. The funny thing was, that according to a archaeology book I had, TD was supposed to be a British maker of pipes.
