Pontiled Decanter, need info

Decanters are not my area of expertise, so any info (age, rarity, value) would be most helpful!
A friend of mine said he thought it was too heavy to be Sandwich glass.

i am certainly no expert. that said, those grind marks on the outer rim of
the bottom are usually a bad sign....

good luck. i am sure you will get all the info you need from our panel of
experts.

Hi,

Not certain but the Decanter looks English and would think is from around 1820.

I would say this is an American piece. This looks like the type of decanters that I find in my Pittsburgh glass book. Not having the stopper hurts the value though.
