Still digging, down at about 5 feet and stuff is getting older. The other day i dug out a deep section just to see what was lower and pulled out the one gallon jug i have in the was it after 1900 section along with some mid 1800s stuff. Today i got a little more in the same area and found an Ayers Sasperilla and a TC Jeffers ginger ale Albany ny blob top torpedo. My oldest deed for the house is 1847. I have to dig out some of the dirt to get this layer uncovered. I hope to have some real good stuff to put on here in the coming days. The privy/cistern is about 6 1/2 feet dia. and i have only a small portion dug out to 5 feet or so. I will post pix after I get my fix. Cant stop diggin!

Hello Dan,

Welcome to the Blue Pages, and thanks for bringing that round bottom Ginger Ale. It's good to know all the embossed words and symbols on these guys.

Does yours say T.C. Jeffers & Co., Albany?

What looks like a crack is just a drip or something. I was 4 feet down and had my hand in a foot of water rooting around when I felt the bottom. I was goin nuts before i even saw it because i have found no less than 25 broken round bottoms , all different types
