This is rare bottle in colbalt blue color. It's a old soda or,carbonated water bottle!A little hazy inside, but it is still worth loving. Does anyone else love these Ryans as much as I do?
I would love to see this one in clear, green or any other color. Never have. Thanks for the response. This is rare bottle in colbalt blue color. It's a old soda or,carbonated water bottle!
Maybe they never made it in clear glass,.Then used natural green bottle glass. Natural geen in glass is caused by iron in the sand. used to make up the glass. You really have to fine out the iron from the sand to get clear glass which is extremely hard to do.Crystal clear or clear glass take coupious amounts of of mental oxicde of lead to make glass clear.By the way this is why crystal clear glass is so heavy!I would love to see this one in clear, green or any other color. Nice Ryan you have there Sandchip. I don't have that version yet of the porter and ales XX but one day I hope to!!That's a great example, Sarasota. Yours and this one are the two earliest varients of John Ryan's many bottles, both dating to 1852. I'm sure you already know that. Just throwing it out there for everyone's benefit.
