If you ever wanted a real E G BOOZ and not a Clevenger reproduction a rare opportunity is here to have your own....

I can assure you the ebay is real by this picture from my collection first. The letters SKEY are shifted down lower but are on the same horizontal plane as WHI

Here is the bottle from eBay.... The other give away are the beveled corners much shorter and less steep then on the Clevenger version.

Comparison... The original Whitney glass works made bottle is on the right.

[;)] Also the OCS in Booz, Cabin, and Whiskey will line up in a vertical straight line on an original, on the repro the letters go slightly diagonally to the left as you face the bottle. Nice example!

Wow ! $5,000 and only 3 pictures of the actual bottle. Anybody know the seller? I would be careful if buying this one, perhaps insist on an escrow. I never owned one of these, original or repro. I refused to own anything that had a reproduction made of it. That, in my opinion, detracted ENORMOUSLY from any original. To each his own, I'm not preaching.

It is 100 percent guaranteed original Jim,but I agree better pictures would help someone thinking about shelling out that kind of money not so much for the sake of the bottles originality it is the Whitney made one but rather a mint condition version going for 5000 to 7000 versus an okay version 2000 to 3500 or a damaged version going for 500 to 1500. If he sold this bottle on Glass works,Hecklers or John Pasters site and the bottle was in very good condition an 8 on a 1 to 10 he would get anywhere from 3500 to 6500 if presented properly. I own 6 of theses and once you know what and where to look it is quite easy to distinguish an original from a reproduction. I have 1 mint 9.5 1 minor scratch on roof, 2 in very good condition 8 and an 8.5, 1 in good condition 6.5, 1 with a repaired lower corner a 5 (rest of bottle is mint 9.5) and a severely cracked one but it is whole rated as a 1 They are great looking bottles Jim.......
