Questions for the milk bottle collectors: Have you ever tried to repair or restore milk bottle pyroglazing? If so, how have you done it? What are your thoughts on it? Acceptable or not? (let me state that I for one beleive if you repair it, or know its repaired and want to sell it - you should disclose that fact).

Anyway, I'm curious how others feel about this, or if anyone has had any experience with repairs.

Thanks!

Pyro, ACL or whatever.
I can see a touch up with a brush for personal liking.
A new silk screening for major work I'd never do. That would be the same as making a fake and there are enough of those around as it is.
I do agree you should disclose the fact in either case if you try to sell it. I don't collect them as soda, milk or whatever but I'd be real ticked off if I bought one that was altered without disclosure.

What was the question, ah yes, no, never tried it.[:)]
