Been back from Disney for 2 days. It is so nice I decided to take the huntress for a walk so I figured I would go by my dump. Sticking out was a milk glass bell shaped bottle that reads
RESTORFF & BETTMANN N.Y. The seam stops at shoulder....pics later (having my thanksgiving today) Anyone know history about this company? Thanks

Also here is an amber beer shaped bottle. 9 3/4" tall no markings but it was found with the stopper. Did they use these type stoppers for beer?? Maybe this is not a beer? Any input on these?
Thanks

Is there any embossing on the bottom of that beer bottle? I have one very simular and could give you information about it.

I love the milk glass. I am a collector of milk glass bottles. I dont have any info on that one though.

There are no marks anywhere on the bottle. The base is slightly indented but thats it. Does yours have any marks? Do you what it held? That stopper has to be original, same color and fits to a t.......found right under the bottle itself.
Thanks Jagee

I am pretty sure that yours is a beer. Mine just says Boston Mass C.A. King brewing CO. Something like that. That about it.

CREWELADEVIL.....I see traces of paint or gilding on the milk glass piece. Usually pieces thus painted were used for Feminine products: cologne, toilet water, etc... Your beer or malt beverage bottle used a type of "lightining closure" , most likely... and the stopper is for a whiskey ( often a flask). A cork "ring" was inserted within the mouth of the flask, and the stopper fit snugly inside the cork.Lea & Perrines used the same closure on their worcestershire bottles, but those were aqua or clear stoppers.
