I know nothing about these two bottles besides they were a coca-cola nock-off. The amber one I found in a local creek and the aqua one I paid $5 for. They both are machine-made so my guess is the amber one 1915ish and the aqua one 1920s maybe. They seem to be rare. If anyone knows what they may be worth or any other info about them I would really appreciate it.

Thank you
Tom smith

Are there any glassmaker marks on either of them? I have an greenish aqua one with a tooled lip (appears to be handmade, but maybe an early semi-automatic machine type?) and it has a glassmaker mark of D.O.C. on the heel (Dominick O. Cunningham, Pittsburgh). I estimate it is from around 1910-1920. There are a few of them around, but not that many.

A bit more info on Rivo:

Merchants Ice & & Cold Storage Company in Louisville was the actual bottler of "RIVO". According to this webpage, they were incorporated on January 3. 1906. So maybe the oldest Rivo bottles could possibly date from around that time?
https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_ky/0034885

"The American Bottler" (trade magazine) from January of 1915, mentions Merchants Ice & Cold Storage and Rivo, and also several other soda bottle brands from Kentucky (like Springer and Parfay) in this article: https://www.google.com/books/editio...torage"+rivo+soda&pg=PA68&printsec=frontcover

Thank you for the info. There are not any makers marks on them. I wonder how rare they are. There don't seem to be a lot of examples out there.

Hi Tom! I dug a blue Rivo bottle like you have today in Louisville! Crazy how heavy it is! Don’t know much about it either though. Definitely cool!
