The other day I picked up this bottle, and I was wondering if anyone knew its value. It says: "S. Michelsohn Belmar N. J.". It has a tombstone slug plate, my first bottle with one. The other side and base are unembossed. The bottle is listed as "rare" on hutchbook.com, does anyone know what that means? Thanks in advance.

Not sure of the value but I'd say it's scarce but not rare... Are you looking to sell it?

Now that I look at hutchbook again, I see that I was looking at the wrong one when I said it was "rare". But, it does not say anything, so does it mean that it's just not known how many there are? You're probably right about it being common, though.

I probably do not want to sell it, as it is my first bottle with a tombstone slug plate. I really like the look of it. Though, I always like to have an idea of the value.

It's a somewhat scarce bottle, in that condition worth $15-20 to a local collector who doesn't already have one.
