A quick internet search shows they were open in San Francisco as early as 1884. Several examples seem to have been sold in the last few years, but the prices are on Worthpoint and some closed auction sites. It was some kind of cream or lotion. One brother was in San Francisco and the other was in Buffalo, New York. Scott
pretty nice, rare San Francisco med you have there...450.00-600.00 seems to be what they go for if they are mint, and yours looks pretty good..........Andy
So this example was found in Australia? I've seen these here and there at shows (and on ebay) through the years. And they didn't use to be quite so expensive 30 years ago. It took a few decades but the lowly pharmacies and face cream bottles have finally gone up in value. Particularly the amber, green and blue examples.
