This is a three piece black glass bottle embossed around the shoulder.In order around the shoulder it shows a crown then ALE COQ LONDON.It is 11 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide.does anyone have info on this or seen another like this?

Is there anyone who has info on this bottle? To bad the glasshouses didn't have bottle discription books for us to make things a little easier.

Hi,
This bottle is obviously English and dates from the 1860- 1870 period and was probably used for ale or stout. These bottles are a reasonably common find on the old goldfield sites in Australia.
