I'm guessing it is older. I think this because it appears pretty basic-not too busy. Seems alot of newer ones have a lot of stuff going on inside them. Just a guess -Julie

The dump is 40s to early 50s with some late throws. Works perfectly, but the white snow is now antique white! Small chip on the porcelain base. (and not mine)

Wow... how deep was that dump? I'm amazed the liquid didn't freeze and break the glass. Or maybe old-time snow globes had alcohol or oil in them?

It's a snowman. The dump isn't really that deep. Maybe 4-5 feet, but this wasn't found that deep. Maybe 2 feet. It's definitely not oil in it. It moves like water, but maybe it's not.
