This is another large Stiegel Chestnut flask that I acquired recently. The bottle is a very nice sea aqua color with lots of bubbles, potstones and the usual marking's of an 18th century bottle. This one looks to be in the 1765 to 1775 time frame of manufacture. The bottle is 10 inch's tall,6 inch's wide at its widest point, has a deep blow pipe pontil, plenty of base wear and a lip treatment that is out of this world .It almost looks exactly like a Wistar chestnut rolled lip but that it is upside down. Here it is on a nice sunny day.
