Still need help on this mystery bottle!

Interesting piece. I used to live on Tasker St. There were lots of South Philly bottlers & liquor dealers before prohibition. I haven't seen this one before—excellent & unusual embossing tho. The base is strange, dunno what to tell you there. Definitely a keeper. Should purple up in sunlight if you wanna go that way with it.

Been awhile but here is the amber script beer I mentioned in response. These are hard to photograph but the embossing says Property of Free & Waag Steambottler’s New Haven Conn.

I’ve dug up a about 4 of these script embossed beers. The other 3 were clear and broken in pieces. This one is my only whole one and amber. All originating in CT. I took me 3 years to find it and post pics, so I hope she has dug up more info since then!

Glass Bottle Marks description of manufacturer:

E.H.E.CO……………………Edward H. Everett Company (operating company of the Newark Star Glass Works), Newark, Ohio (1885-1904). Plant merged in 1904 to become part of the Ohio Bottle Company and in 1905 Ohio Bottle became part of the American Bottle Company. American was purchased by Owens Bottle Company in 1916, and in 1929 this plant became part of the merger that resulted in the formation of Owens-Illinois Glass Company.
