I finnally bought her...20 mins ago. These things are so hard to find, everytime one comes up for sale its sold mins later. This one just came up for sale on a gun dealers site and I lucked out and saw it before someone else!

Its a Dan Wesson 1911 45ACP Commander bobtail

Now I just got to get some funds to pay her off lol! So i guess ill be listing some bottles up on here for sale. Got to help a bro out with another collectors sickness.

Heres the internet picture of it

Nice gun.Back in the late 70`s and early 80`s I new a couple people who worked in the original factory. It was located in Monson, Ma.I lived in that town for a while.Actually, one guy I knew use to take parts home one at a time and then put them together later.I owned a 357 revolver that was a joy to shoot.I believe Dan was a grandson of one of the Smith & Wesson founders which of course is in Springfield, Ma.Nice guns.[;)]

Yeah you are right he was the grandson of a Wesson from Smith and Wesson and when he first got into the gun bus. he was partners with Karl Lewis who was formally from Browning and Colt. Yeah they relocated out of MA to Norwich Ny
