Teardrop Bottle Old or Not?

Teardrop shaped bottle, with some sort of pontil scar - but, is it an old scar or a repro? That is the question. The "lip" is slightly tapered from the rest of the neck. Overall length is about 11 1/4" and is about 4" wide. Coloring is more clear [with a hint of aqua] than the green in the pictures (bad day outside for bottle photos!)

Any thoughts on this one? [8|]

I believe it's a Chianti wine bottle.
I have dug these in early 1900's dumps before so it may be a pontil scar on the bottom of the bottle if they were made overseas in Italy/France.
