Today,...we needed a little outing to search and dig for some old glass! Time was abit of a factor,..so we went nearby to my house, and walked upstream a ways to see if we could locate it. This dump is somewhat of a mystery... Years back we were at Penn Digger's brothers house, and spotted a roundshouldered stoneware brown jug. When we'd asked him where it came from, he told of a place about equidistant between our homes, (He lives just a tenth of a mile into Pa.) along the creek, where there was an old oil well protruding into the creek, He found it while fishing there and brought it home to show Tom. Later that summer I had a chance to canoe float down this waterway and rememered the oil well landmark...Just after the well was the dump,..plain as day. Aqua Mason's, pint, half pint and full sized local milks, a few aqua meds and some local sodas and beers! Well, every year since then, we've been back at low water, and...Still submerged...Laur found a few interesting bits today and we got in a little hike. Here's a few pics. (And a video!)[]
