Hey Joe, Lauren, Tom & Fred,

I do like that Mody & Co., London stoneware guy. Looked around a bit and only found this bit:

"Mody & Co, varnish manufacturers, 32 Valentine road, Well street" From The Hackney 1874 Trade Directory.

This dump was an interesting mix of 1880's thru early 1900's, there was alot of cool stoneware, but all smashed by rocks...all the early meds we found were just aqua panels...[:'(] One piece of pottery I tossed in the bag would have been cool,....I was thinking of Charlie cyberdigger because it had chickens on it....Here's a pic with the jar cleaned up, and a small 'Foley's liver pills' that Fred gave me.....

I love the chicken one. I'd like to do something with it. It feels like it needs its own tiny shadowbox.

That BIG ROCK[:(] ended up on both of our feet----we were like the Stooges trying to get out it's way and ran into one another[sm=lol.gif][sm=rolleyes.gif].

Cool, Surface. I couldn't find anything on it. Maybe that's because I need glasses and kept reading it "Modi" instead of "Mody". Cool address for it too. I would be thrilled to find one of those.

Surfaceone,...Thanks for researching that......Who's to say it couldn't have been varnish?....not that far removed from ink, nor paint for that matter.....cool idea....and the 1874 date seems to be right close too. Thanks, Joe

Very cool. You just don't see very many women in bottle digging video's. You should get right in there and get dirty with them and pull out some more bottles and jars. Maybe start your own reality bottle digging show. Swiz
