So most of the waterways down here are still pretty low, which had me walking the river bank after finishing up at a customers house! Found so many bottles, cone tops, flat tops, however most of the bottles were just slick, cork top, fifth and pint bottles with the "federal law prohibit...". But then as I'm uprooting a small bush, there's a snuff bottle, a rusty cone top, and this lil guy, all attached to the root system

Tried googling it, but everything I found referencing it was on worthpoint's site, except 1 eBay listing, which of course said "super rare, circa 1940's, but I don't know if either are true

I'd be very interested to see any cone tops & flat tops since I collect those. Leon.

I'd say the 1940s date used in the eBay listing is probably correct, with a few clues pointing towards 40s or early 50s. The style of the ACL seems in line with bottles and jars I've found from that time period, and this is one of Owens-Illinois Glass Co.'s "Duraglas" products. The Duraglas name was trademarked in 1940-41, and the base of yours shows only one number to the right of the Owens-Illinois trademark. If the period is there I'd be willing to guess this bottle was made in 1945. Here's more on Owens-Illinois if you'd like to read: https://glassbottlemarks.com/owens-illinois-glass-company/

Agreed, 1945 based on the number 5 right of the OI logo coupled with the ACL style. Never saw a bottle for powdered pepper quite like this one, how interesting. Great find @CCB420
