I just decided to start collecting these "reel" or "spool" inks now to see how many colors I can get. The reason I'm doing it is that I have had this amber one for a couple of years and I couldn't sell it on E bay , at flea markets or at bottle shows. Nobody seems to be very interested in them. Well, I was at the Dover show last weekend and I saw a few more kicking around, so I decided to start giving them a home.

These are unembossed and measure about 3" tall and about 2-1/4" wide. Anybody have any they would be willing to part with? I can buy them outright or trade if you want. Let me know...thanks.

Be careful................................ that's how I got into collecting Piso's and many other bottles. :)

Just kidding, I like your ink colors and I think pursuing more colors in these reel inks is a great idea. Good luck with your pursuit. Paul

These are neat. They look to all be Stafford's. They made that particular form in many colors, from cobalt and teal to various shades of amber. There are some great chocolate and root beer amber ones out there. And, without label, they can still be purchased reasonably, not like the cone inks, which have now just gotten stupid in price.

Inks are cool no matter what form they have. I like smalls in general, anything I can fit 20 of in a medium size box and is good for a quick move. I've been getting rid of most of my bigger stuff because they are just a pain, no matter how much I like them.

Yeah they do have the small factor going for them, and because they are small sometimes they're the only thing I bring home from some rockpile dumps. Check out the color on this one Kirk, Chris, & I dug out of a privy. Nice start Paul!

Nice collection Bucky....did you dig all those?

Cobaltbot please let me know if you decide to part with the green one. That is sweet.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know they were Staffords.
