This one is for Uncle Bruce / The Beer Dude

I found this Pottery Bottle on Vancouver Island years back. The locals say it is an 1850's bottle.....The embossing : Bavaria Brewery Victoria V I and on the reverse the "thumb print" Doutton Lambeth London. The bottle is quart size and mint.

Wow that's a great find! I think I've seen a picture of one of these before but for sure they're very rare bottles. I'm pretty skeptical about that 1850s date but it absolutely is one of the earlier Victoria beers.

Bavaria Brewery was in business from 1863-1894, according to a newspapers dot com search.
