Trash Pit dig.

I got Magnolia st. on my old 1870 Map. SO, I decided to take a drive to Magnolia.The Street is still there & probably runs at least 1 mile long. Most houses on the street do not face that street but the other streets in the other direction so not to many would have a Magnolia Address. I did see this cool looking house at corner of Magnolia & 14th st. Would be a cool house to restore but bad Neighborhood. Down at other end of Magnolia & 30th st. I see this old looking Church. Can anybody guess the age of this church? Did not see any old Farmhouses or the Address I was looking for. LEON.

Looks sort of like the Munster's house or a haunted house. I bet there are some good privies behind that one. Maybe not too old, but looks like they might have had some money back in the 1880' 1890's.

Detroit is a tuff place to dig. Looking over your shoulder to see if you are going to get mugged, kind of takes the fun out of digging. Tom

That brown block house is killer. I've found some great stuff in the crawlspaces under old houses like that.

Certainly is a nice find! I found a nice embossed bottle from West Side Brewery Company, bottled in Detroit Michigan. I'm still looking around to get a date. Does anyone know anything about Mundus brewery (other than it was operating 1920-1933 under one name and 1933-1935 it was Mundus brewery.) I have a bottle with a faded paper label. I can't find anything online or any other examples. I'm assuming it is rare and from the 33-35 post-prohibition era. I'll get pictures up soon, I need to clean them up. New to the forum!-Erin

Are you sure it was open during prohibition? Did they make soda or cereal beverages then?

The arrogance of our government, who bears the brunt of the responsibility for this type thing nationwide, to see the destruction of our once proud nation and continue to congratulate themselves over the fine job they do, for the people, is thoroughly disgusting to the point of being physically sickening.
