My good friend called me today and offered me these two
Chestnuts that he just fell into and was able to purchase
for under $200.00 . He asked for just a couple more dollars
for his time and gas money. I had to think for a very long
time about it. I was not sure if it was worth it. Only kidding; I don't think I even thought about it for over a nanosecond.

Can I give you $250 for the one on the left, and you keep the right one for free??

Well, nice buy!

If I could be 100% positive that they were Wistar bottles, I would say they are no later than 1780 and could be earlier. This type is usually from that time period. Thanks

For what it's worth I'm of the opinion that the bottle on the left is an 18th century Jersey piece (and a dandy at that!) while the bottle on the right appears to be New England made, dating from 1790 to 1820 or PERHAPS as late as 1830...

Very Nice!!!!!

Hi Jeff, Take a look at a few other photos of the small
chestnut. This may change your opinion of place of manufacture.
The rolled lip did not show in the original photo.
