Hi.......Any thoughts on this foot long bottle with a 6 1/2"
neck? It has a nice rough pontil and crude lip but unfortunately
it also has a crack in it. What type of bottle is this ... wine? It's
such a neat shape and so very crudely made, but is it even worth listing on eBay?

Any thoughts on it's shorter friend? It is 7" tall, a blob top and I guess
an improved pontil. What would this have been used for? Thanks for your help! [:)]

It's definitely worth listing, even with the crack. Willy Van den Bossche pictures almost the exact bottle on page 127 of Antique Glass Bottles. He describes it as a Belgian long-necked utility bottle, 1770-1840. I imagine it would do fairly well even with the crack.

I'm not familiar with the other bottle, it's newer though.
