Does anyone have any information regarding the following: a flask made by "W. Frank and Sons, Pitt." The flask bears the word UNION, a war standard (i.e. tassled) US flag bearing (apparently) 13 stars with a cannon in the foreground, and on the other side are 13 stars spangled across the top with two olive branches framing the front, with a hand holding something I cannot make out, possibly a bugle. The Dating Game mentions the same signature, i.e. "W. Frank and Sons, Pitt."

I have been busy this evening but can upload additional (and better) photos if required.

I would like to see the back of it as well . I have one of these flasks , but it does not have a hand holding a bugle on the back side of it . Could be a different run I guess .

Let's see the back side for positive ID. Also, a straight on picture of both side, closeup of embossing both sides. It's called a FLASK or Historical Flask. It is definitely in McKearin Group XII (12).

With the WM.FRANK & SON it should be a GXII-39 or 39a listed by McKearin & Wilson as Comparatively Scarce. If undamaged it should be worth $150 - $200. Others may have a better idea of current going rate, i'm a little / long ways out of touch.

The shield side is the front / obverse, cannon side the reverse. Front figure is "Clasped Hands" not one habd holding something.

I was too embarrassed to make a guess but I did make of the image that it was two holding hands. This board seems to dislike images of a large size but perhaps these two images might suffice for the moment and I can upload to my own site and post links to that site if you really needed larger views. Having said that, here are two images sized for embedding. Note the color is edit aqua.

Hi, that's a beauty. It's somewhere In the GXII-38 to 42 range but It could be another unlisted in McKearin. I have one that not and seen a few others marked Wm. Franks that weren't either.
Small details and better pics of the cannon side would help.

Hello, cowseatmaize. I will upload a couple of side views. Back in a minute. PS there are a couple of blisters and a few seeds in the glass but it is perfectly intact without any breakage.
