I am looking for any Barq's rootbeer memorabilia or Moon Glo Orange items. If you have anything please do not disregard, I will pay top dollar if it is anything that I do not have. If you have ANYTHING in Barq's please email me, don't wait and forget or end up breaking it or don't feel like emailing me. If you have and I don't, it may be your lucky day. I also collect WWI and WWII guns, if you have any thing related to that please email me, looking for helmets as well.
thanks,
Robert Sherrill

I have a helmet around here somewhere. If I remember right, it's a Heer 1940 from the other side. Silver emblem still mostly intact, but the leather is shot, and the underside is quite rusty, I believe the zinc liner may have added to that, plus it was found in a basement. I've wanted to restore it, but dont want to mess it up. It has 2 cracks on the edge, not sure, but I think it came over here that way. I could get a pic, but I don't want to offend anyone.

I'm still waiting on the return of an appraisal. I know what they're worth, but I wasn't sure how to subtract the damage. Here's a pic, please don't be offended, it's only history, nothing else.

My dad told me about my great uncle slapping a mailing label on top of one over there and mailing it to my grandpa that way. Of course that one has "disappeared" long ago, but this one was found in the basement of an abandoned house. Now that I think about it, I remember seeing jars and bottles too, but wasn't as interested at the time. I wonder if they tore it down yet, hmm......

Lol, I know what you mean. Maybe it's the thrill of the hunt that makes us hide things from ourselves.[;)]

Hey Robert, I dug a MOON GLO a few weeks back. Most of the paint came off because I was not smart enough to have my clear sealer spray on hand. Won't make that mistake again[] It is a Biloxi bottle. If you want to know where I found it let me know. There might be another one in the area. I collect Barq's also, so I can't turn loose of the only one I have. Drop me an e-mail if you want to dig. Thanks Marvin
