Went Diggin

Went diggin today with my best diggin buddy and our new diggin buddy today. Didn't do to well but had fun just the same. I had the find of the day.

This is Anthony {Alabottledigger} our new diggin buddy.

This is Anthony's Magnolia tree. We probed all around and no luck.

Biggest Magnolia tree I have ever seen. Was planted by Anthony's ancestors around 1840. This thing is massive.

Since we weren't having any luck we went to an old dump. I opened up a hole and this is my best diggin buddy and wife Cindy going after those hidden treasures while I feed the local saber toothed mosquitos.

This is new diggin buddy going after the glass treasure too.

As you can see by the look on new diggin buddies face we weren't having much luck. He found a few whole Durkee's and both diggin buddies found an abundance of broken soda bottles from the late 1800s to 1920. I cried over the sodas and fed the mosquitos.

But when we had tuckered out all were smiles because we got to DIG!!!!

We did see this sign..........................................................Not really but I thought it was funny.

The find of the day.......Well I found it at the flea market later in the day but I talked the guy down fron $45 to $20. I'm such a tight wad. An early 1900s SS Coca Cola bottle from Mobile Al.

Oh....and did I mention that I fed the mosquitos. I'm just nice like that.[]
