Thanks again guys.I agree it looks most similar to the New Albany stars but is different than others I have seen on fruits jars & ales(like the picture from Whitten's site).Could be just a slightly different mark from that co..It makes the most sense.Newark Star opened in 1873 and became E.H. Everett in 83-1904.We have dug up half of that city[] and alot of marked bottles so it isn't from there.
i thought i was pretty well versed in bottle knowledge but then i discovered this site and found out that there is so much i dont know. but i got a question from someone here on the form about glass house marks on some of my flasks, if they had any, and my dumb country butt thought he was literly talking about a "glass house" embossed on the bottle, wow. dont worry though i am all better. anyways here is a glass house mark on one of my favorite pieces. where is it from?
