This was found last week next to the neck. No other pieces showed up. Looks like it had great embossing. Anyone know what it was?

Never mind. I found it on Google. Old Gilt Edge Bourbon. A SF whiskey, and I imagine it was a decent one. Oh well maybe next hole.

Thanks! I saw that example too. I think the clear one was newer and just slug embossed. Still would have been a sweet whiskey. I saw an amber one like that on the American Bottle Auction site that went for decent $..... Maybe next hole!

The embossing below "URBON" is "LUTGEN &"

One of the first flasks I ever bought from the Golden Gate show when it was held in Richmond many moons ago.

Actually, the clear Gilt Edge is fairly common. The embossing has an "O" to the left of the crown and "K" to the right. The bottle dates from the turn of the 20th C and would be worth $30-$40 in excellent condition.
