I`ve been going through my boxes of jar lids that I`ve dug over the years, and I`ve been able to place all of them except for these 3. I`m hoping some of you jar nuts can help me out. I`ve gone through my jar books without much success, they don`t always give good descriptions of the lids. Has anybody thought about writing a book just on lids and closures and what they go to? I would think that would be a good seller, especially to diggers. The first lid may be to a Star jar, but I`m not sure. It is an insert to an improved type closure, it`s 2 7/8" diameter, and has a 10 pointed star on it, it looks like a 5 pointed one with another one in back of it. The second lid is 3 1/2" in diameter, has a lip on the outer edge where it sat on the jar lip, and a dimple in the center. The last one has a 2 3/4" diameter, and has a depression in the center where a thumbscrew or cam lever pushed down in the center. It is a little less wide than a regular size lid. Any help you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated!

I think lid #2 is for a Eureka jar. Not sure about the other two.

On second thought, #3 might be an Eagle lid. Soon as I can find my jar I can be a little more sure. Getting old. Misplaced it. -Tammy

Silly me. I have a set of 3 of them, they're on display in my kitchen of all places. I'm attaching some photos of the pint. I'm pretty sure #3 is an Eagle lid.

Thanks for your help, I had done some more looking and thought that the one was for a Eureka jar, but wasn`t sure. Now I know for sure! The Eagle lid had me puzzled, it`s similar to other lids when you just have drawings to go by. Again, thanks for your help!
