I have two glass bottles with silver etching on them and dont know what they are, they have a cross with IHS on the front. Tried to send a picture but said it was too big.

"IHS" = "In His Service," as in Christ's service. Jim's right, you've likely got a holy water dispenser there.

I'm not sure Jim. I was Catholic in the 60's and some churches had pitchers or some container above the entrance font for refilling your own bottles for home, that would be a high end church on that one though.
No, I never heard of sacrificial coffee.

The name "Jesus" in Greek begins with the letters "iota" "eta" "sigma." Translated to our letters, that becomes "IHS."

That's really interesting and very "high church." I'll bet I was told by a "low church" Anglican priest as a kid that IHS means In His Service because the Greek would be too difficult for youngsters.

I have had these for about 20 years but never knew what they were. I was thinking of donating them to a church, all the dark on the bottles are silver.
