What would you call it?

Is it it a flask, utility, or what was it used for? It has a pontil and a ton of whittle. Thin like a flask, but an odd shape.

I think it is a neat bottle. I am a little surprised at the finish on a bottle with that type of pontil. I would call the shape a flattened oval, but with the pontil being oval, I guess it wasn't flattened. A good one for any ones collection. RED Matthews
