Wheelbarrows and Chug a Mugs

There's this big 1950's dump I've been digging off and on for several months now - it's sort of a fallback when there's nothing more promising afoot, it's close to home, I've got permission to crater the place, and despite the lack of age some cool stuff has come out of it - I'm not going to go through the whole history of the dig to date here, but you can view it here. At any rate, woke up Sunday, nothing promising was afoot in the digging world, but the ground was thawed, so I went back to see what else I could root up...

had a decent size hole opened up after a while, was hoping for a few good things from the sparse older layer at the bottom, but it turned out to be bulk metal day...

First bit of bulk metal was a long length(don't know how long, the other end is still buried) of pipe with a faucet on the end, then this brass bed frame...

Next was this bicycle, was buried so long the rims fell apart when I pulled it out...

Thought that was enough metal crap for one day, but then this shows up - mortar pan? Grain hopper? Whatever it is, it's big and in the way, hope there's something good backed up behind it...

*##&!!#% Wheelbarrow, total pain in the butt to dig out. Why the heck did they toss it? as far as I can tell, it was perfectly good when they threw it away(the other handle broke off when I pulled it out). Worse, the only vaguely decent bottle trapped behind it was a common 1920's milk.

It looks like a good amount of ACLs and milks down there. Judging by how big the site is, I wouldn't be surprised if you hit some 20s or teens stuff down there. Keep us updated!

If all the chunky bulk metal wasn't enough, it's all held in place with hundreds of rusted out beer cans...
