On Monday, I was heading down Broadway, Hannibal's main drag, when I passed by a demo site that got mostly done except the important back end of the property which was encased in 3' thick cement. Built up in the 1860's, there were a few bottles circa 1880's scavenged from under the staircase a few months ago, but that was about it. The facing wall is another building built against the once existing building, now removed. On Monday the crew had finally returned, and having made friends with them a few years ago, I was allowed access and was shown an area where a few toc bottles came out. One was intriguing as I never saw this variant. It was a Majors LEATHER cement bottle. I only knew of the RUBBER cement ones, so I started in scraping the surface area of interest, and they began literally pouring out of the exposed side......
