Check this out, maybe these aren't that rare after all.

I always wonder when I see that. I guess there is no way for anyone to know if it is legit or not? Could be just a way for the seller to make a few extra bucks? [8|]

I read somewhere that what goes on on ebay, stays on ebay. That's something I agree with, the government is ripping people off at every opportunity taxing already taxed money. So I don't know why some sellers charge sales tax and others don't.

Unless that seller has an antique store open for daily business he has no reason to charge "sales tax". It is simply a scam to glean more money from the unitiated. I have a business, but wouldn't THINK of charging tax on net sales. So far, net sales are unpoliced and non-taxable.

If anyone REALLY wants a New Century hutch I have one that I dug and is available.

In your experience what would be some of the rarest San Fran hutches?
From what I've seen I'd throw these out in no particular order:

Examples I own:
Pine-apple Nectar/Garcia Bros.
Fairmount Soda Works
G. Rottanzi
Lytton Springs Sweet Drinks

Examples not in my collection:
Astorg Spring Mineral Water
Cal Lemonade Seltzer Water Co. (I could swear I have one of these somewhere...)
Phillips Soda Water

I was there at the Golden Gate Pleasanton show at "early lookers" one year when Dale Mooney went running out to his car real
excited -- he'd just scored an amber Eastern Cider Co. hutch...so gotta include that as rare.[:-]

I'll bring it to the BBQ. It ain't out of line, and all trades are considered. I dug a couple of them in a local TOC dump a few years back. Ther were some real nice SF hutchies in that yard. Bottles from front to back, side to side, to 4'. EVERYTHING imaginable.
