Here is a super beautiful window bottle that is a pint in size, shaded amber, applied top, front embossed in round slug plate: D.B. LESTER / GROCER / SAVANNAH GA. This is the one of the most rude bottles that I have ever seen ! HEAVY HAMMER WHITTLE ! This happens when a cold mold (not preheated ) CRUDE ALL OVER SURFACE WITH THE SLUG PLATE AREA SUNKEN IN when the glass was to hot. This was a dug bottle that has been lightly cleaned on the outside and inside. The inside still has some very light hard water stain on the back shoulder area. Displays sparkling mint.
No cracks, no chips, no fish eyes. This bottle was dug and professionaly cleaned to original luster. Killer Southern Flask !
Also have the following bottles for trade:
Embossed whiskey: LABOR'S CHOICE / UNION / MADE WHISKEY, in a oval slug plate, tooled top (not machine made), dark red amber, quart size bottle, very near mint with just a hint of hard water stain on the inside only, no cracks, no chips, no fish eye dings. Displays sparking mint.
Whiskey: 1/6 th gallon, unembossed, Stoddard made, 3 mold, shaded mahogony brown amber, HAMMER WHITTLED ! Sparkling clean, no cracks, no chips, no dings no issues, one of the best examples possible.
WARNER'S / SAFE / KIDNEY & LIVER / CURE ( picture of safe TRADE MARK ) ROCHESTER, N.Y. , tooled top, VERY LIGHT GOLD YELLOW SHADING TO STAW AMBER ON THE RIGHT SIDE ! So light you can read a news paper thought it. This bottle was dug in Livermore, Ca and has some ground wear on the back panel. Professionlly cleaned by Rick Kern many years ago. I dug one just like this one in Vacaville, Ca in 1970. This bottle is just outstanding example.
Above bottles are for trade only. Will consider all serious trades. Looking for Hostter's Bittlers.
