I drove to Wapak to return a video yesterday. As I crossed the river I noticed the river was practically non-existent. I returned the movie then drove to a lot close to the river to check it out. The gate on the low level dam had been removed and the water drained. I am not sure if they plan on repairing the dam, possibly replace it. I am guessing this dam was installed 1930ish or so. I poked around a dry sandy area by the dam and found a old coke and a worn local ACL. I plan on going over after bit with some waders and look around more thoroughly.I am guessing there is a mile or so of river to check out. I will take the camera and get a couple pictures for ya to see. Have a great one people, GO BENGALS.
