I HAVE A 1939 HOBBLE SKIRT REG DEC. 25, 1923 BUT THE ACTUAL DATE ON THE BOTTLE IS 1939. BELOW YOU WILL SEE A LETTER FROM A COLLECTOR WHO SWEARS BY PETRETTIS AND MOST DO. Please read the two different dates Petrettis has and another site well known. My question is....Do I have a RARE one here that has never been seen?
Here is the small discussion;
Hey,
Got your comment and have visited your web site before. It is very nice but I use PETRETTI'S guide for my information. On page 405 of the 11th addition it lists the 1915 bottle as from being made from 1916-1924. He lists the Chritmas bottle from 1924-1937. In fact I was in this exact same discussion about the actual dates of these bottles back about 50 years ago when I first started collecting Coke items. It seems that nobody for sure knows the exact dates just as they don't know if the original Coke really had coke. If you have some authority better than PETRETTI'S let me know. Yours, Robert
2.[/align][ol][*]"NOV.16 1915" were produced from 1917 to 1928.
[*]"DEC. 25 1923" (called the "Christmas Cokes") were produced from 1928 to 1938.
[*]From; http://www.antiquebottles.com/coke/[/ol]
Anyone care to shed some light on this and especially my 1939?
THANKS, BAM BAM.
