got out to the spot yesterday, a good tide created a lot of time to dig through the mud. got sun burnt and i didnt take gloves so i'm paying for digging through a foot of mud, under a foot of water, bare handed, but no matter how hard you try you always forget something.....
here's some pictures of my finds, brought a guy out there who didnt collect before he went, but now.... HOOKED!
the cone ink i feel is my best find, needs a polish though. another cool one i dug up off the bank was an unembossed split beer, with an applied crown top, its just straight yellow with seed bubbles all through it! there was a lot of big disappointments but thats all in the hunt. on with the photos!

Nice! I'd say that milk is a great one.. unless it's "headless" ? ..the owls are always good of course.. and the applied crown bottles are always fascinating to me personally.. they seem like an anachronism!

Nick,...

It looks like an "E&J BURKE".....Their trademark was an embossed cat (on the bottom)...It was an early Guiness beer, if that's what it turns out to be....Nice finds,...I really like the color on your cone ink! Joe

A break away from the everyday, that"s for sure. Any idea as to who was responsible for dumping those bottles there.?

P.T.B. not sure who, (the person), but i know how and where it came from, at least i think..... rumor has it after the devastating '06 earth quake in S.F. the rubble/garbage was brought by barge to the location, its a big marsh land, and i think they found it was a great place to dump and the dumping continued. i was only walking on about a 200 yard strip of beach! the dumping grounds stretch back a mile inland. altogether its a few square miles of a turn of the century dump from san fran. its pretty amazing. thanks for the comments and input
