Picked this one up today for $1

Not sure about this one but I am pretty sure I have dug a milk glass example in the past. Is there a side embossed milk glass bottle from this company? Any history would be appreciated. I got this one at an estate sale for $1. it seems like a nice amber embossed bottle from Mass.

    A first for me

I decided to get out and do a little digging this morning. The weather is nice and cool now. I went out walking around looking for cellar holes in a very old town. I ended up in a ravine behind a bunch of late 1700-early1800 breadbox style homes. Almost everything I dug was broken & pontiled so...

    more from the old homestead...

The demolition crew came into that old farm home-site and started digging around the foundation. After they were done I picked these up. I have never seen either one so any help would be great. Thanks.

Need help on some attic finds...

I had the chance to pick through an 1850s homestead scheduled for demolition and made these finds. There was more there, but these were the best. I was wondering if anyone could help me out as far as value on these. I found the iron pontiled demi in the basement and the other two in the attic...

Did some scouting & came up with a good one

I went out scouting over the weekend in an area where I have been finding a little here & there. I probed along a creek bank and was surprised when I started getting into some older glass. I was even more sirprised when this one popped out! It is an open pontil W.F. LAWRENCE'S GENUINE...

Only got 2 keepers but they were goood...

Been out digging a few spots here and there. I tossed most of the stuff. Kept these 2 bottles though. They made it through my selective screening and I took them home. One is a very rare local druggist. The other is a large size Bunker hill pickle in an attractive yellow amber color...

    dug & cleaned!

I picked this one from a fellow digger for $20. It was badly stained but remained undamaged so I invested some time and tumbled it for 4 days with 1200 cutter, than another 4 days with Aluminum oxide. I must say, I am happy with the outcome. It was well worth the $20 investment! Here it is...

    Antique Bottle Market?

I have noticed as of the past 12-18 months that antique bottle just are not getting what they used to get. Have any noticed the same. It seems that bottles that used to get $20-$40 hardly get $10 now? Even the pontil stuff seems to have lost its value? My only guess is that the bad economy has...
