Is this a Case Gin bottle?

Defo a turn of the century case gin and extremly common in England and worth about one to three pounds sterling here. Very nice bottle though and should be worth more. I have only ever found one complete.

Date on this seamless bottle ?

I am almost certain that this bottle is not English and expect its origins are northern european. It is in my opinion pontilled and will date to the mid 19th Century. A nice bottle but one I have never seen from an United Kingdom context. Oh but such a lovely bottle!

    Some more Irish bottles

Hi Sean. I am sorry to say that aqua minerals with applied lips from the early 20th Century are very collectable but worth very little. If you decided to sell her on Ebay you might get a Euro or if there are a few interested parties then you might get twenty or thirty Euros. Then again it...

    Some more Irish bottles

Actually I have just noticed that the base markings are from the first Queenstown bottle which is a crown cap mineral water cylinder which will almost certainly date to 1910 -1920s period, although with the formation of the Irish Free State in 1922 your bottle has to date to almost bang on...

    Some more Irish bottles

Fat black glass bottle is defo English and dates 1890 - 1915, would have contained brandy. Your other goodies also date this period or very close. Base should read N & Co which stands for Nuttall & co, St Helens Lancashire. Tips from this period will give up some extremly nice goodies and...

    Sunday Flea Finds

The labelled bottle would be commonly known as a black glass beer three piece mould. Labelled bottles from this period are very scarce indeed as no 19th Century bottles are ever dug with any sign of a label intact although early 20th Century bottles with some trace of labels are occasionly...
