    What is this?

I know it’s not a bottle, but I’m hoping you guys might have come across one of these before. It’s made out of wood and I’m assuming it’s from the 1900’s-1930’s since that is the dates of the bottles if found. Any ideas?

Is there a fix for brittle rubber?

I found these two ink wells with in tact rubber. The darker colored one is extremely brittle and when I touch it, it crumbles. Is there something that will help?

    First time cleaning bottles

So far I’ve been just collecting all of these bottles I’ve been finding in my property and giving the outside of them a decent scrub to get most of the dirt off. Terrified, thinking about how horrible it will be to try to clean the inside of these small necked bottles. I can not thank you...

3 new bottles with no makers marks on them.

The ink well and brown bottle look like they both have pontils on them. No markings of any kind. The white cylinder shaped one has no marks and seams that stop at the threads.

    Found this morning

I went out this morning into my yard and found these where the water moved some dirt around for me. I haven’t cleaned them up, clearly, but it doesn’t look like any of them have makers marks on them.

Bottles found literally under my feet

Here are 72 bottles that I found literally under my feet. (9 inches deep in my property.) Wasn’t looking for anything when I came across these and maybe 50 more that I haven’t even began to look at yet. I doubt you can tell what is here, but if you see something that you think could be more...

    Chinese soy sauce jug?

My research is telling me that this is a Chinese soy sauce jug. Is that what you guys think? If not, then what is it? This is a brown glazed “jug”. It is 5 inches tall. 18” circumference. The big hole has a 1” inside diameter and the small hole (pour spout?) has a rough inside diameter of...

    New to bottle collecting

So I’ve always thought bottles were cool but I have always assumed I would never find any bottles worth keeping or selling. Well it turns out I am literally standing on what has turned out to be a gold mine for old bottles. Hundreds of them I have already uncovered. All in one piece and many...

Dark green bottle with a seam on both sides that stops at the bottom of the hand made, folded over lip. There is a horseshoe or thin crescent shaped makers mark on the shoulder of the bottle. The bottle is 8” tall. Circumference is 15-1/2” at the shoulder and the neck has a 5” circumference at...
