    Ink?

Really appreciate the help and links (thanks Sharon, I see a pic of it, with label, in one of the links) and the welcomes. I've been a member here for awhile but my posts are so few and far between I feel like a newbie each time. :-))

    Ink?

You have a great memory, Jim. Yes I was into insulators but decided to cut down on some hobbies so sold my collection to Howard Banks last year. Met him in Merritt and got the job done. I had been going to Merritt for many years. Thanks for your input. Reid

    factory lip?

Surely would have to be heated by someone who knew what he was doing. Could have been done at the factory but how would the get a stopper to fit? [;)]

    factory lip?

Good to hear from you, Kyle, it's been awhile. My guess on the lip is that it was fixed, after the whiskey was gone, to serve another purpose. IMHO. Reid

    factory lip?

This small flask, 6" x 3", has a modification to the lip. Is this a factory made alteration or something a resourceful person did out of necessity? Any ideas? Seen one like it? Appreciate any input. Thanks, Reid

    Ink bottle ?

Thanks guys. Red, I think you may have it pegged because there are definitely swirl type lines around the piece. They can be seen (faintly) in the first pic. Here is a better pic of the base, very rough. Is there a book on ink wells and bottles? Reid

    Ink bottle ?

Hi group, need more help. Picked this piece up today at antique sale. I can see no mold lines or markings. Plenty of little seed bubbles in almost clear glass. Seems to have a very light sage green tint to it. It measures 2 1/4" tall, 2 1/8" across the top and 1 7/8 across the base. The cone...

    rare?

Yes, Canadian, sorry, just updated my profile. I will look at the links you provided, thanks. I was thinking this was a food type extract such as vanilla.

    rare?

Hi, found this little beauty a couple of years back. Did'nt look like much at first, very grimy, but after a little tumble, looks good. Tried searching this site and google for some info and came up blank. McLaren's invincible extracts with 426 on the bottom. Just under 4" tall and 1 5/8'...

    help please

Thank you "poison_us". I'ts KO-20 probably $10.00 as it is VNM, few nice bubbles and off center top. As in insulators, I'm learning the expensive way, paid $18.00. Where can I find this list? Reid

    help please

Another pic. There are no other markings on the bottle.

    help please

Picked up this piece at an antique shop. Can anyone/someone help me identify and value. In insulator collecting there i s a price guide to most all glass pieces, is there a like guide for bottles? Thanks, Reid

    Apothecary?

I also wanted to ask your opinions on getting this piece tumbled? In the pics the roughness (almost sandblast look) seems bad, but, only a few can be felt, by me anyways. I'm thinking/hoping that a lot of them are tiny bubbles. Would anyone care to hold it for a better "feel". I would gladly...

    Apothecary?

Unfortunately, I did'nt actually find this in the wild. Got it at an antique & collectables sale. This was color I was told it was found in. Suspicions?
