oil bottle? or cruet? or beaker?

Here is a bottle that I do not know what it is. It looks like a beaker. It is about 5 1/4" tall. It does have a pontil mark on the bottom. It needs to be cleaned, but otherwise in immaculate condition.

If it has no handle and if the glass is flawless and thin it would be a beaker. Only cruets
that don't always have handles come in a croupe and are united upon a silver or plated holder.

How would I figure out the age of this?

Hi Danoh maybe someone else can give you an age not much good at that, but would give a quess Mold, but where are mold seams and don't see sign of it being turned in a mold.
