A recent small discovery I made on the Canadian 26oz amber Mae West Crush bottle is interesting.
While the examples are scarce and most known are probably dated 1966, I discovered on my bottle that under the 6 for 1966 is a 5!!!...I was able to see it with a 30X40 loupe.
In the second photo arrows...top of 5, edge of 5, tail of 5, and the right line is showing part of the circular peening mark to remove the old number.
I have not observed a 26oz example with 5 on it's own as of this post.
