A Christmas eve outing and dig...

With a few cool odds and ends, and then lastly, a wet camera to show for it....[8|] Tom asked me if I had an interest in checking his lucky spot from last week at our old dug out dump....What the hey? Don't often get to dig on Christmas Eve.. We headed up to the old trusty G. Hollow dump...The hill was icy, we didn't have enough momentum so we parked and walked up...Of course,...as we were spinning and sliding, Tom's cell was ringing, and as we were sliding back down the hill, ... It was fun to wish Sick Rick a Merry Christmas...[]

The dump isn't too far up into the woods, and as we hiked towards it, Tom and I noticed where some bears had been crossing the road recently...

We usually follow the creek up in case anything washed down....Two different creeklets wind through the dumps and converge just below the lower dump....Along the way are various ruins of a long defunct settlement...

It's fun just to check out the shards as you walk...

Dug along the bank where I was last week a little bit....This was kind of cool...Egg cup? missing it's back...

Looking down the valley from my dig spot....If you look you can see an old wagon wheel grown into a tree where the road once crossed the dump.

Meanwhile,...upstream a bit, Tom was finding some cool little commons and odds and ends...
