federal law forbids sale or reuse of this bottle has 5 at the bottom of the design only on 1 side bottom has D-2 40-53 just wandering how old and what was in it

Hey Preditor, alcohol of some sort I believe. "Federal law forbids sale or reuse" was used on the bottles between 1933 and 1964. Sorry I don't have more info for you. Happy diggin, Kelley

Gin maybe ??? 53 might be the date. Without embossing or a label not worth much more than likely.

I'm not sure, some times it's the date or it could be a mold number. If it has a pat. # you can look it up in a book. I'm am NOT an expert and what I do know I learned in the last three months[&:]
It would look good in a sunny window...
